Teleconsultation

Last updated: March 10, 2026

Teleconsultation lets doctors conduct video consultations with patients remotely. Patients join via a WhatsApp link — no app download needed. The entire session is integrated with prescriptions and billing.

1

Starting a Video Call

From the appointment detail, click "Start Teleconsult." A video room is created and a join link is sent to the patient via WhatsApp. The patient clicks the link to join from their browser.

Both doctor and patient need a device with camera, microphone, and stable internet
2

Screen Sharing

Click the "Share Screen" button during the call to show lab reports, X-rays, or educational content to the patient. Both parties can share their screen.

Screen sharing requires a Chromium-based browser for best compatibility
3

Ending with Notes

Click "End Call" to finish the session. A post-consultation form appears where you can add consultation notes, create a prescription, and schedule a follow-up — all before leaving the teleconsult screen.

Consultation duration and notes are automatically linked to the appointment record

Important

Ensure a stable internet connection (minimum 2 Mbps recommended). Video quality automatically adjusts based on bandwidth. If the connection drops, both parties can rejoin using the same link.

Tips

  • Test your camera and microphone before the first teleconsult
  • Use a well-lit, quiet room for professional consultations
  • Send the patient a WhatsApp reminder 15 minutes before the scheduled call
