Voice AI Setup

Last updated: March 10, 2026

Voice AI answers incoming phone calls to your clinic, handles appointment booking, answers common queries, and detects emergencies — all in natural Hindi, English, or Hinglish conversation. Here's how to set it up.

1

Enable Voice AI

Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Voice AI and toggle the "Enable Voice AI" switch. Your clinic's phone number will be configured for AI call handling.

Voice AI works alongside your existing phone — it only activates when calls are unanswered or outside working hours
2

Set Language Preferences

Choose the primary language for voice interactions. The AI automatically detects the caller's language and responds accordingly.

Hinglish

3

Test with a Sample Call

Click the "Test Call" button on the Voice AI settings page. This initiates a sample call to your phone so you can hear how the AI interacts with callers.

Try saying "I want to book an appointment" or "What are your timings?" to test different flows
4

Emergency Keyword Configuration

Voice AI monitors for 80+ emergency keywords (e.g., "chest pain," "not breathing," "accident"). When detected, the call is immediately escalated to the doctor or emergency contact.

You can add custom emergency keywords in Settings → Voice AI → Emergency Keywords

Important

Always keep an emergency contact number configured. Voice AI will attempt to connect emergency callers to a real person when life-threatening keywords are detected.

Tips

  • Set Voice AI to activate only outside clinic hours initially
  • Review call transcripts weekly to improve AI responses
  • Add your specialization-specific terms to improve understanding
